Honoring Service and Sacrifice

by Dave Rauch

This week was a short one following the long three-day weekend—but the extra day off wasn’t just about rest and relaxation. It was a time to pause and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.

If you’ve lost a loved one in the line of duty, please know how deeply grateful we are. We honor their courage and your strength, and we recognize that the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today are ONLY possible because of them.

To those who have served, are currently serving, or have a loved one who is wearing or has worn the uniform—thank you. Your service and sacrifice mean more than words can express.

Gob bless America!

BUSINESS NEWS

Asking Is Selling, Selling Is Asking

by Andy Henley

We’re excited to share that our sales numbers have been looking strong, and the momentum we’ve built is setting us up for even more success this year. By the end of May we will eclipse $6 Million in new contract sales this year already - a HUGE number!

Sales are critical because they drive the work that keeps all of us busy and provides the stability we rely on. But it’s important to remember that generating sales isn’t just the job of the sales team - it’s something we all play a part in. Every one of us can make an impact by knowing the full range of services we offer and promoting them whenever we have the opportunity.

Our clients don’t always remember everything we can do, so if you see a need while on a property - even if it’s work for another department - speak up, send it in, and let our clients know we can handle it.

Huge shoutout to ALL our exceptional ProTecians out in the field getting the work done, and done right! You guys and gals are the backbone to making ProTec successful!

Let’s keep this momentum going and blow the top off our sales numbers!

Just Tell ProTec

by Dave Rauch

Just Tell ProTec (JTP) has been a great success in helping ProTecians anonymously share concerns and suggestions. Every Tuesday, your Executive Team — Andy Henley, Mark Adams, Candy Allen, Cecilia Gonzalez, and I — read and discuss all the JTP submissions.

We've made many changes based on your feedback, and we’re grateful for your honesty and engagement. However, there are times when we’d love to “help more” and follow up — either to share that we’ve acted on your idea or to explain why we might not move forward with a suggestion – and to say “thank you”!

Unfortunately, because JTP is anonymous, we don’t always have a way to do that. To help bridge that gap, we’re adding an optional feature to JTP: you can now choose to include your name. If you do, we’ll be able to follow up with you directly — whether to thank you, provide context, or get more clarity. Of course, anonymity is still available and respected. This change simply gives you more choice in how you want to connect with us. Thank you for continuing to allow ProTec to “Learn and Grow”. Your voice truly makes a difference and we sincerely appreciate you being “All In”.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

Just like that… we’re back down to ONE safe day.

This month alone, we’ve lost our safe day count five times. That’s five separate incidents where either an injury occurred or a delay in reporting caused us to lose progress.

We can’t stress this enough:

Every incident, no matter how small, needs to be reported immediately. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about keeping each other safe and being accountable to one another. When reports are delayed, even by a day, we still lose the safe count. That means the hard work everyone puts in every day to work safely is erased in a moment—all because something wasn’t communicated on time.

We know mistakes happen, but we need to be better at speaking up right away. If you see something, say something. If you get hurt—even slightly—let your supervisor know immediately. If something doesn’t look right, report it.

Click the video above to hear from Mark as he breaks down exactly why we lost the count this time and what you can do to help prevent it from happening again.

Let’s recommit to doing our part. Let’s build our safe day count back up—together.

Safety Meeting Swag

by Danyelle Reese

At this last week’s safety meeting, you should’ve received a hat and three shirts—including one in bright orange. Moving forward, you’ll get one of those orange shirts with each new order.

If you need anything or have questions, feel free to reach out to me: DReese@protec.com.

I am proud to announce that Carmen Sanginez from Department 30 has been selected as May’s Best of ProTec! This recognition comes with praise straight from a board member, who took the time to write in and highlight Carmen’s outstanding performance.
