Leadership Is About Others

by Dave Rauch

True leadership is not about power or personal gain - it’s about helping others succeed. It's about "Improving Quality of Life". When you influence someone for their benefit, you’re leading. When you do it for your own, it’s manipulation.

Leadership begins with relationships. You have to know, value, and invest in people. Influence without connection is shallow; influence with care creates growth.

The greatest leaders put others first and help them capitalize on opportunities. They inspire, empower, and lift people higher. And when others rise, everyone - including the leader - moves forward.

Fall Arrives Next Monday!

by Dave Rauch

Next Monday, September 22, marks the first day of fall! While that means cooler weather is on the horizon, we’re not in the clear just yet, expect a little more warmth AND humidity, before the real shift sets in. Stay prepared on the jobsite and keep safety top of mind, and water at hand, as the seasons change.

What's Ahead for ProTec

by Dave Rauch

Last week, we came together for our quarterly planning session to align on our Q4 priorities (aka Goals). We are committed to making ProTec easier to work at for our ProTecians and easier to work with for our clients through technology, strengthening our CAMPs by leveraging our maintenance and preventive maintenance expertise, keeping safety at the forefront as our #1 core value, and equipping every client-facing role with the skills to build stronger sales relationships.

Q4 Company Priorities:

  • TECHNOLOGY: We have decided on accounting, payroll, sched., estimating, bidding, billing, CRM, time + attendance system for 2026 with implementation roadmap
  • CAMP: We have sold X value-based (aka NON-hourly) CAMPs, analyzed product market fit, and trained X% of ProTecians on preventive maintenance.
  • SAFETY: All safety requirements have been met by each department
  • SALES: All client-facing roles have been trained in new sales relations skills (and documented)

By staying focused on these priorities, we believe we’ll make meaningful progress this quarter and position ourselves for even greater success in 2026. If you’d like to learn more about our priorities or the planning process, please reach out to anyone on the leadership team.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

As we head into the 4th quarter, safety has improved, but we’ve still lost our safe days count several times due to late-reported injuries, lost-time injuries, and vehicle accidents.

Recently, two company vehicle accidents occurred, both avoidable. One was caused by following too closely, the other by looking away from the road, resulting in a destroyed/totaled vehicle. Thankfully, everyone is okay. We also had a significant injury that required the ER because the M.O.S.T. system wasn’t followed, shortcuts were taken instead of using proper methods and positioning.

Every recent incident could have been prevented. Please stay focused, drive with safe distances, avoid distractions, and always use the M.O.S.T. system. Let’s eliminate preventable setbacks so we can all go home safely and reach our first goal of 30 safe days.

Dave's Success Tips: "I Will Do This"

by Dave Rauch

Tip #76: "I will do this" is the only attitude that works. "I'll try" or "I think" doesn't work.
