Recent Role Changes & Restructuring

by Dave Rauch

At ProTec, we’re always striving to position ourselves for greater success and ensure a bright future for everyone on the team. You may have heard about some recent changes within the company, and we want to take a moment to share the “why” behind them.

Simply put, these changes are about growth—becoming a more successful and profitable company so we can better support the people who make it all happen: you! While change isn’t always easy, these adjustments are essential to help ProTec move faster, operate more smoothly, and function more efficiently. Tough decisions have been made with everyone’s best interests in mind, and we’re confident they’ll pave the way for continued success.

Here are some of the key changes to our team structure:

Chris Cuyugan: he will now oversee departments 660 and 535.

Steve Rojas: has been promoted as the Lead Account Manager of 460.

Fernando Urrea: he will now be in charge of overseeing 60, 160, 260, 460, 535, and 660.

Ty Haisch: he will now be in charge of overseeing 50, 150, 250, 360, and 760.

Neil Carey: in addition to safety he will now be overseeing department 30.

We’re excited about the path ahead and grateful for your continued dedication as we work toward a stronger future together.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

I am proud to announce that we have been starting off January 2025 doing a great job with our overall safety. I know a lot of our regions have been affected by wildfires and poor air quality. When wildfires are going on in the areas you work, please remember that it is always a good idea to check the Air Quality Index.

Click here for the Air Quality Index website. They also have a button at the top of the web page that can easily convert the website to Spanish if needed. Please know that we highly encourage the use of N95 masks in unhealthy air quality conditions which we can make available to you.

We also have rain on the way this weekend in lots of the areas we work. The severe lack of rain we’ve had will cause the roadways to be extra slick with what rain we do get, so be sure to be extremely careful on the roadways during and after any upcoming rainfall. Thanks for staying safe and continue to look out for yourselves and one another.

AWARDS & CELEBRATIONS

A Safe Space is a Happy Place #2

by Neil Carey

It’s the small things that count. Walking into work I crossed paths with Hector Tavarez (60), during our quick exchange of morning pleasantries he turned around and walked back to his truck. When he opened his door he said, “I remembered to grab my Safety glasses when I got out, but I forgot my reading glasses.” This is a prime example of Safety First, his first thought of his workday was towards being safe. For this simple yet so important statement we provided Hector with a 110-piece set of DeWALT bits.

Hector, we thank you for being safe, and we encourage everyone to remember Safety is about you returning home Safely every day. Click here to see a picture!

There's Still Time to Set Goals!

by Danyelle Reese

Seeing as we’re still in January, it’s not too late to set some goals for the year or quarter. Here are some tips to help you set realistic goals you can actually achieve!

What stops most people from achieving their goals? They aren’t S.M.A.R.T. – specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound:

  • Specific: Clear goals answer questions like who, what, where, and why. The more specific, the better your chances of success.
  • Measurable: Decide how you’ll track progress. Seeing results keeps you motivated.
  • Attainable: Set goals that are realistic based on your current skills, resources, and abilities.
  • Relevant: Align your goals with your priorities and make sure they’re meaningful to you.
  • Time-bound: Create a deadline to spark urgency. A goal like “lose 10 pounds by May 1st” is far better than “someday.”

By following the S.M.A.R.T. framework, you’ll have a clear path to success and stay motivated to achieve what truly matters!

CONGRATULATIONS
