Celebrating 29 Years of ProTec!


This Sunday, February 9th, marks 29 years since Dave founded ProTec—a huge milestone reflecting nearly three decades of Improving Quality of Life for ProTecians, Community Association Managers, and the communities we both serve. It’s also Super Bowl day! It’s a super day any way you look at it. 

 

What started as a vision to improve the quality of life for homeowners has grown into something truly special, thanks to Dave’s relentless hard work, vision, and leadership. His commitment to our Purpose of Improving Quality of Life—both in the office and behind the scenes—has shaped ProTec into the company it is today.

 

We are all incredibly grateful for the passion he brings every day, and mostly to all the incredible ProTecians that have joined him to help shape ProTec along the way through all our learning and growing and plain old hard work. Here’s to many more years of success and impact as we continue to learn & grow together!

What, Me Read the Employee Handbook?

ProTec’s newly updated Employee Handbook is now available to read in Paylocity. If you are like most people, you’ve never read the employee handbook. Why? Because it’s boring, tedious reading and takes a lot of time to read it. However, not reading it is a mistake, especially if you are a supervisor or manager of other ProTecians. 

 

This is nothing more than ProTec’s Rules and Regulations. Where do those rules and regulations come from? The State of California (and Nevada). Every year the state of California comes out with over 1,000 new laws. Google it if you don’t believe me – and it’s very hard to believe I know. But ProTec must abide by all those and many more rules and regulations and they are all right there in our employee handbook. 

 

If nothing else, just read the table of contents so you know what’s in there when you have a question.

 

Please login to your Paylocity account (company ID: 143161) and scroll down until you see "Tasks to complete" You will see the employee handbook under that and you can open and sign it from there. Please make sure to sign it by February 28th. If you have any questions, please reach out to our amazing Human Resources team at HR@ProTec.com.  

New Safety Bonus Plan

We've reviewed the safety bonus plan and are making an exciting change! Instead of the current system where employees receive a $25 check after 30 days safe, we’re introducing a raffle for gift cards each time we reach the 30-day mark.

 

This new approach keeps safety a top priority while making it even more rewarding. The goal remains the same—to encourage a safe work environment for all—but now, hitting 30 days safe gives you a chance to win even bigger prizes! Let’s hit that 30 days!

The Safety Pledge at Work – ProTecians Commit to Safety

Recently I was honored to bring ProTec’s new Safety Pledge to the D-30, D-70, D-250/260 and D-60 safety meetings. I will be meeting you at upcoming safety meetings this month and in March to pledge to you that ProTec supports a safe work environment for all of us. Everyone gets a “Safety Coin” to be kept on your person (somewhere) to remind you of this safety pledge. Some ProTecians are coming up with creative and very cool ways to keep the coin close. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Congratulations Donald!

I’m thrilled to announce that Donald Lopez (260) has been promoted from Account Manager to Lead Account Manager for the North County region! This well-earned promotion reflects Donald’s hard work, dedication, and outstanding contributions to our team.

 

Donald started at ProTec five years ago as a technician, quickly proving his expertise in the trades. He was soon promoted to Account Manager, where he consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to ProTec’s values. His leadership has been instrumental in Dep-60’s growth, and he’s already bringing that same expertise to North County’s D-260.

 

We know Donald will continue to excel in his new role and help drive our team to even greater success. His promotion is a great example of how ProTec values hard work, dedication, and career growth within our team.
