250 Years of Freedom

by Dave Rauch

As we get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July next weekend, I wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday. Be careful with fireworks and toasted drivers on the road.

This year is especially meaningful as our country celebrates 250 years of freedom and independence from monarchy and into self-rule. It's a great reminder of the opportunities we've been given and the responsibility we all share to make our communities and country better.

I want to thank each of you for the work you do every day. Whether you're in the field, supporting operations, serving clients, or working behind the scenes, you make a difference. YOU MATTER BIG TIME!

Since the Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, all employees will receive a paid holiday on Friday, July 3. I hope you enjoy time with family and friends, make some great memories, and enjoy a well-deserved break.

Happy Fourth of July, and stay safe!

BUSINESS NEWS

Newest Maintenance Manager Release

by Caleb Henry

Last week, we released our newest episode of the Maintenance Manager, featuring Wendy Weber for a conversation about all things HOA insurance.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this interview is how Wendy breaks down topics that can often feel confusing or overwhelming into simple, practical terms. She sheds light on the side of insurance that most of us don't usually see and explains why it matters.

Whether you're in the industry or not, insurance impacts all of us in one way or another. If you have some free time, I definitely recommend giving this one a watch.

Knowify Tips & Updates

by Caleb Henry

We wanted to share a couple of quick updates on Knowify.

MANAGERS:

Scheduling Filters: What You Need to Know

If jobs have been disappearing from your schedule board, your saved filters may be the culprit. Here's the short version of what we discovered:

Knowify's saved filters work as "AND" filters, meaning every condition must be true for a job to show up. If your filter is set to display both your team and only jobs where you're listed as Project Manager, any job where you aren't the assigned PM simply won't appear - even if it's scheduled and active.

When we tested this by removing the filters, we found several jobs that team members had tried to re-add, not realizing they were already on the schedule.

Going forward, saved filters should only be used to filter by crew/resources - not by Project Manager. If your schedule ever looks incomplete, that's the first place to check.

ALL ProTecians:

App Performance: We're On It

A number of you have reported spinning screens and sluggish load times in Knowify, and we want you to know we're actively working on it. We've been in ongoing communication with the Knowify team and have also made some adjustments on our end that we believe should help. A recent update was released to stabilize things in the short term, with a more polished version coming down the road.

We know it's not perfect yet, and we appreciate your patience. The more information we have, the faster we can get things resolved - so if you run into any spinning, delays, or anything else that feels off, please jot down what you were doing and grab a screenshot if you can. Reach out to IT, or contact Caleb or Samantha directly.

No issue is too small - your feedback is what drives these improvements.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

As we end June and welcome July, we're also wrapping up National Safety Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about preventing injuries, promoting healthy habits, and creating safer environments at work, at home, and in our communities.

Safety isn't just a set of rules; it's a shared responsibility. Every decision we make has the potential to protect lives, prevent injuries, and create a stronger, more productive workplace. Each year, thousands of preventable accidents result in injuries, lost productivity, and hardship for individuals and their families. The good news is that many of these incidents can be avoided through awareness, proper training, and following safe work practices.

As we reach the halfway point of 2026, let's continue making Safety First our number one Core Value, not just during National Safety Month, but every day. Please continue looking out for yourself, your family, your coworkers, and everyone around you. Together, we can make sure everyone goes home safely at the end of each day.

Turning a Conversation into a Win-Win

by Dave Rauch

Congratulations to Tasha Eide for earning a Sales Bonus by simply recognizing an opportunity to help a client!

When Kari McCallum Campbell with Keystone Pacific Property Management asked if ProTec offered any maintenance programs instead of continuing with time-and-material work through Department 50, Tasha introduced her to our Common Area Maintenance Program (CAMP).

That one conversation not only helped ProTec showcase another service from our Wheel of Services, but it also helped the Playmor community improve its Quality of Life while saving $10.50 per labor hour over T&M rates.

Great job, Tasha! This is a perfect example of how listening to our clients' needs and sharing the right solution can create value for everyone. I pray that everyone and not just Tasha can remember the CRIMMPPS. Construction – Restoration – Inspections – Maintenance Programs (CAMPs) – Maintenance Manuals – Plumbing – Painting – Specialty Services/Janitorial
