Another Dream Granted: Skate Date Dream

WE DID IT! Fountain of Dreams has granted their 6th dream! This dream was once again submitted by a fellow ProTecian who knew the impact this would have on one of our own. The dream included help with medical bills and a skate date with grandkids. This dream was submitted on behalf of Betty Copeland, who has been fighting a tough battle with cancer and has been dreaming of enjoying a skate date with her grandbabies. The Fountain of Dreams Team assisted with paying a portion of her medical bills and made it possible for her to enjoy some fun times at Skagit Skate with her two beautiful grandkids. It didn’t stop there - they also put together a gift basket that included new skates in her favorite color - pink, a carrying bag, and a few more goodies to make her skate date just a bit more special. We're overjoyed to see our fellow ProTecian’s moved by what ProTec has been able to do through this program and truly fulfilling our purpose of Improving Quality of Life together.

Monday is Labor Day

REMINDER: Labor Day is this coming Monday, serving as a NON-PAID holiday for hourly employees and a PAID holiday for salaried employees. If your intention is to work on Monday, please contact your supervisor ASAP to coordinate your plan and schedule.


For those opting to take Monday off, we wish you a wonderful extended weekend filled with quality time spent alongside friends and family!

Changes for Out-of-State Employees

HealthNet is excited to announce that starting November 1st, 2023, ProTec employees in Nevada and Texas will transition to Cigna Healthcare PPO Network. With this change, employees in the impacted states will have a broader network with access to more providers and hospitals. This also means that The First Health PPO will no longer be available. Employees in Nevada and Texas will have to go to Cigna.com to find an in-network provider starting November 1st.

Company culture is very important and refers to the shared values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that characterize our company and our team. It's the intangible essence that shapes how we interact, make decisions, and approach our work. Company culture is crucial because it influences our employee engagement, productivity, satisfaction, and overall success. That is why we have spent so much time articulating our Purpose – Improving Quality of Life – and our Core Values – All In, Learn & Grow, Own It, and making them come alive within our company. That is the bedrock to our culture and the shared values and behaviors we all share. The more we live out the values within our company, the more we will attract like-minded individuals and the more success we will have as a company. On the contrary, a negative or poorly defined culture can lead to high turnover, conflicts, and a lack of innovation. In essence, our culture acts as the guiding force that shapes our identity, defines our reputation, and ultimately determines our ability to be successful with both our employees and clients. We come to work everyday trying to figure out how to "Improve Quality of Life" for ProTecians. That's our culture at work.

We just finished compiling our full List of Benefits – to see a copy, click here.  We have added a copy of this updated list on our website under the "About-Overview" and "About-Careers" pages for all potential employees to have access and review. We've also added it to our internal website, ProTec Portal, under "Resources-HR Forms", on ZipRecruiter and Indeed, and on the P Drive under Resources for ease of access. As you know ProTec is growing and seeking new ProTecians to join our team. It is our hope that you take advantage of ProTec’s Referral Program where you can make $1,000 for referring a skilled technician/plumber or $300 for all other positions.
