4th of July

by Dave Rauch

Next Friday, we get to celebrate the 4th of July—a day to honor our country’s independence and reflect on the freedoms we’re fortunate to enjoy. Even better, the holiday falls on a Friday this year, which means a well-earned three-day weekend!

It’s a paid holiday for ALL employees who have been with us for over 90 days!

I hope you take this time to relax, spend it with loved ones, and celebrate what makes this country so special. Thank you for all the hard work you do each and every day.

And since it's officially summer, that means it's belly flop season!

BUSINESS NEWS

Use Your Navigation System to Minimize Gas Usage!

by Dave Rauch

We want to keep everyone informed about some external factors that may impact our day-to-day operations.

Fuel prices are starting to rise, driven by global tensions and the temporary closure of two California refineries. With that in mind, we encourage everyone to plan routes carefully and look for ways to optimize fuel usage wherever possible. Even on trips where I know how to get to my destination, I still use my Navigation System to guide me. Why? It knows the shortest distance between two points, and it obtains “just in time” information like road closures and accidents to plan the shortest route.

In addition to gas costs spiking, potential changes in immigration enforcement may affect the labor market, particularly in industries that rely on a broad hiring pool. These changes could make it more challenging to find qualified technicians, so we’re continuing to focus on strategic recruiting and retention efforts to stay ahead. Please remember that we pay you to refer employees to join our team.

Share Your Feedback!

by Dave Rauch

Today’s the LAST DAY to share your feedback, the survey closes tonight! We only do this once a quarter, and we’d really love to hear from you. It’s super short, just 3 anonymous questions, and it only takes a minute. If you haven’t filled it out yet, there’s still time.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

Now that it’s officially summer, don’t forget to stay hydrated! Make sure you’re drinking water throughout the day. Your health and safety come first!

Code of Safe Practices/Dash Cam and GPS Policy

Please make sure to review and sign the Code of Safe Practices as well as the Dash Cam and GPS Policy on Paylocity before July 31st 2025 (company ID: 143161). If you are having difficulties logging into Paylocity, please contact Human Resources (HR@protec.com) and they can assist you.

Site Safety Inspections

We want every ProTecian out in the field to receive a visit from a manager or supervisor. These visits give us the chance to better understand your day-to-day challenges, offer support, and complete Site Safety Inspections. The inspection form can be found under the Safety Tab on the ProTec Portal along with safety updates and other documents to keep you informed and safe.

And remember, your Safety Coin isn’t just a token. It represents our shared commitment to safety, and some ProTecians even say it brings them a little extra luck during inspections!
