Enjoy your weekend

by Dave Rauch

Easter weekend is here, and it really couldn’t have come at a better time. I hope you all take a break. Hang out with your family, see some friends, eat good food, or just relax and do nothing. Remember when you were a little one and got a super colorful basket of marshmallow bunnies, chocolate easter eggs, Reese’s cup bunnies and so much more? Remember the yellow and blue basket straw? Do you remember taking your kids on their first Easter Egg hunt? Boy that was a long time ago huh?

Take time, slow down, and just be in the moment for a little while. You deserve it. Don't forget, we've got the best weather in the entire country.

BUSINESS NEWS

New Software Progress

by Dave Rauch

I want to thank you for how you’ve handled this software change. Change can be tough, and yeah, there have been a few hiccups here and there, but honestly, it’s been going really well. This system is different from what we’ve been used to, so it’s normal that it’s going to take a little time to get comfortable with it.

It’s only been a few days, and we’re all still learning, but we really appreciate you sticking with it and being patient as we figure things out together. We want everyone to feel confident using it, and we’ll keep working to make that happen.

If something doesn’t make sense or you have questions, just reach out to your admin. They’re there to help, and if they don’t have the answer right away, they’ll connect with Sam or Caleb and get it for you.

And if you want a quick refresher on clocking in and out, check out the videos below.

Helpful Hints

by Caleb Henry

Each of you is doing an amazing job and it shows by how great this transition has been going.

One thing we are hearing of right now is Technicians forgetting their scope entry – that is OK! This is a learning curve for everyone!! Please please please remember that EVERY TIME you check out you need to be putting in your scope.

When in doubt if you see this screen – FILL IN SCOPE OF WORK!!!!!!!!! This is imperative.

Thank you all for your hard work. We’ll continue hosting daily support Zooms for admins and managers, so feel free to jump on anytime during the day if you have questions.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

ProTec U: Recap

by Aspiring Andy

It’s been a while since we’ve covered our Core Values, so let’s get back to it.

Our Core Values: Safety First. All In. Learn & Grow. Own It.

Today, we’re starting with Safety First.

Safety First

  • What it means: We prioritize safety above everything. No shortcuts.
  • How we express it: We do the safe thing, even when no one’s watching. We look out for each other and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
  • The outcome: Every ProTecian helps protect the communities we serve and makes it home safe at the end of the day.

AWARDS & CELEBRATIONS

We're hopping on the trend and we asked Dave what he was like in the 90s. Check it out!

WORLD NEWS

Journey to the Moon

by Danyelle Reese

If you’ve been keeping up with the news lately, you’ve probably seen that we’re heading back to the moon.

The mission is being done in phases. Right now, with Artemis II, there are four astronauts in space as part of the mission, and the main goal is to test all the systems with astronauts on board, including the spacecraft, life support, navigation, and communication. Basically, everything needed to safely send people farther into space.

After that, the focus of the next missions is to land on the moon again, explore new areas (especially near the south pole), and learn how to live and work there for longer periods of time.

All of that ties into the bigger objective of getting humans to Mars. The moon acts as a testing ground where we can figure things out before making that much longer and more complex journey.

Dave's Success Tips: Overcome Fear

by Dave Rauch

Tip #89: Unattended problems will not go away, but will usually get worse. Anticipate and avoid problems - or meet them head on at the outset. Overcome fear by attacking it.
