Improving Quality of Life

by Fernando Urrea

For five years, Porfirio Perez and Victor Perez of Dept 535 (Downtown San Diego) made a daily commute from Hemet to San Diego, spending an average of two hours each way. When we found out, we knew we wanted to help—especially with ProTec offices located much closer to their homes.

To better support them, we offered Porfirio and Victor the opportunity to transfer to our Murrieta office. They immediately accepted, and as of April 1st, they have officially joined department 360 in Inland Empire, working alongside Armando and Cristian.

Their coworkers in 535 gave them a heartfelt send-off, sharing stories and expressing gratitude for their mentorship and contributions over the years. This farewell was a true testament to the positive impact they’ve had on their team and the appreciation the entire 535 had for both Porfirio and Victor.

Porfirio and Victor, your dedication and resilience in managing such a demanding commute have not gone unnoticed. We sincerely hope you find your new home in 360 as welcoming as 535 and that this transition allows for more valuable time with your families. Wishing you both great success in this next chapter!

BUSINESS NEWS

Hard Times Create Strong Men & Women

Over the past three decades, we’ve weathered many economic storms—and every single time, we’ve come out stronger. Today, we face new challenges like skyrocketing insurance rates and HOA blacklists among others. These issues are frustrating, unpredictable, and largely out of our control. While we can’t change the external landscape, we can help our clients navigate and understand these new challenges. By continuing to provide excellent service across the board, we offer real value to our clients to help offset some of the difficulties they are facing.

So, what can we control? The same things that have always set us apart: our relentless work ethic, our commitment to doing things right, clear communication, and ALWAYS taking care of our clients. These values have carried us through before, and they’ll do it again. We have the strongest team out there, and no one will outwork us. Keep your heads up, keep working hard, and stay focused on progress—one day at a time. The results will come, and we’ll come out on top like we always do. The best is yet to come!

Diners & Deals Podcast

by Dave Rauch

I had the fun opportunity to be interviewed by Seth Deutsch for his Diners and Deals Podcast! During our conversation, we discussed ProTec’s humble beginnings, how far we've come since then, and the exciting plans we have for the future. It's always a pleasure to reflect on our journey and share the experiences that have shaped who we are today. I'm so excited to share this conversation with you all—click here to listen and hear more about our story!

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

I’m proud to share that March 2025 was one of our safest months in a long time! We had only four first aid instances, and one was completely out of our employee’s control. This is a huge step in the right direction!

That said, safety is an ongoing commitment. We recently lost our safety count due to a minor injury that wasn’t reported until the following Monday. Even small delays can impact our record, so please remember—all injuries, no matter how minor, must be reported right away.

Let’s keep this positive momentum going! Stay vigilant, look out for one another, and keep making safety a priority. Thank you for everything you do to help our company thrive with safety as our top core value!

AWARDS & CELEBRATIONS

Best of ProTec

by Dave Rauch

I’m absolutely thrilled to recognize Freddy Medrano from Department 160 as March’s Best of ProTec! Freddy has truly set the standard for excellence. A homeowner took the time to describe him as not only professional and punctual but also as someone who has gone above and beyond to ensure their space looks just as good—if not better—than before. This kind of dedication and attention to detail embodies our purpose of Improving Quality of Life and reinforces the high standards we strive for at ProTec.

Freddy’s commitment to quality service and his positive impact on our clients is something we can all aspire to. His work is a shining example of how every ProTecian plays a crucial role in making a difference. Thank you, Freddy, for leading by example and showing us all what it means to deliver JOB DONE with professionalism and care. You’re a true asset to ProTec, and we are so fortunate to have you on the team!
