Benefits Update

As we rolled out our new benefits at the beginning of the year, we unfortunately ran into some issues. While this did not affect everyone, we understand it was frustrating for those it did impact. We truly appreciate your patience as we work through these items.

Our team has been working diligently to get everything figured out and fixed as quickly as possible. Many of the issues have already been resolved, and we continue to address anything that comes up to ensure things run smoothly moving forward.

If you are still experiencing any issues with your HRA Visa card, or if you need a refund, please reach out to Human Resources directly (HR@protec.com) so we can assist you as soon as possible.

New IT Assistant!

Agustin has joined us as our new IT Assistant and will be working out of the Corporate Office, while providing support to all locations.

Agustin will be assisting with day-to-day IT needs, troubleshooting, and general tech support as he gets familiar with our systems and teams. We’re excited to have him on board and know he’ll be a great resource for everyone.

Dept. 250 & 50 Combined

Tim Haisch has been doing a fantastic job leading Dept. 250, while continuing to successfully run Dept. 50. To make things simpler and more efficient, we’re excited to combine the two, as of 1/1/2026!

The technicians from 250 will continue working out of San Marcos, but their department number will now be 50. That's really the only change.

A big thank you to Tim and Tasha for leading this transition so smoothly! We’re thrilled about this change and can’t wait to see the team thrive together in this new setup.

Safety First

We’ve noticed some issues with driving company vehicles including distracted driving, speeding, not wearing seat belts, and vehicle damage.

Most of our floater vehicles have dash cameras and we want to remind everyone that following our motor vehicle policies is required. Violations may lead to safe driver training or other corrective action.

When you’re behind the wheel, you represent our company. Let’s be safe, responsible, and respectful on the road. For tips on avoiding distractions, check out the California Office of Traffic Safety’s campaign here: Put Your Phone Down. Just Drive.
