Best of ProTec - March

by Dave Rauch

Big congratulations to Emilio and his team on this one.

Emilio does a great job of building and maintaining strong relationships with managers, and this is a perfect example of that paying off. When a plumbing issue came up, his team handled it with experience and good judgment. They were able to make the repair without shutting water off to the entire building, which made a huge difference.

The community manager was extremely grateful for the speed, knowledge, and not having to deal with a bunch of back and forth. He trusted Emilio to make the calls, and that trust paid off. It’s a big part of how we were able to earn this property back after working there years ago.

We all really appreciate you, Emilio, and the way you lead and train your team. ProTec is so lucky to have you in our family.

BUSINESS NEWS

Software Updates

by Caleb Henry

Just a quick reminder as you’re moving between jobs throughout the day. If you’re switching from one job to another, always select “Switch Jobs.” The only time you should hit “Check Out” is at the end of your day. This keeps your time running correctly. If you check out in between jobs, it stops your time and creates gaps. Our admin team can fix it on their end, but it really helps them out if "Check Out" is only used at the end of the day.

On the tech side, a couple quick tips:

  • Don’t forget to add your scope EVERY TIME you click "Switch Jobs" or "Check Out". Even if you’re at the same job all day, you still need to enter your scope when switching to lunch. Remember, before you hit "Submit", you should always be entering a scope of work.

  • If you see the spinning wheel, just hard close the app and open it back up.

  • If you see “Offline Mode,” select “Just Check In.” When switching jobs or checking out, write your scope like normal and include which job it was for. The admin team can move it to the correct job on their end.

We really appreciate the effort everyone has been putting into this transition. We know there are still some bumps, but you’ve all been great about asking questions and flagging things so we can get them fixed. We’re working through it right alongside you and will keep making this as user friendly as possible.

Change can be Uncomfortable

by Dave Rauch

Adopting new software takes some adjustment, but it’s an exciting step forward for ProTec. We didn’t make this change just to change things. We’re doing it because it sets us up to grow, improve, and continue leading the way in how we support both our teams and our clients. This new system is all about making things more efficient, more connected, and ultimately easier for everyone.

We’re already starting to see that impact. Earlier this week we heard from a client who loved the new portal. That’s exactly what we’re working toward. A better experience, less back and forth, and delivering on our promise (job done, hassle free, and one-stop shop).

Growth creates opportunity. It allows us to bring in new team members, open doors for advancement, and continue building something strong together. That’s what this is all about.

We also have a great feature on ProTec now live on Trainual’s website, along with a video spotlight. Big thank you to Randi Vian for doing such an amazing job representing our team and our company.

And of course, thank you to everyone who continues to support this transition. The Henry Helpdesk team has been doing a great job helping answer questions, and our admin teams have been steady, positive, and “All In” through it all. That kind of mindset is what keeps us moving forward.

We’re building something better here, and it shows. We are now “Learning and growing” together.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

We’ve had a bit of a reset with our Safe Days lately. A few different things have come up, but one that keeps happening is late “incident/accident” reporting, so it’s worth talking about.

If something happens, even if it feels small, just report it right away. If it ends up being nothing, no big deal. But if it turns into something later and it wasn’t reported when it happened, that’s when it can really hurt your health and it also hurts our Safe Day count. It really just takes a couple minutes to let your supervisor know, and it saves a lot more time and hassle later.

We see the diligent hard work you guys are putting in every day and we really do appreciate it. Let’s get back on track and hit that 30 days safe. Then, 60 and then 90 safe days – and make safety pay off.

AWARDS & CELEBRATIONS

Tech Level Up Challenge

by Liz Teposte

This week we launched our Tech Level Up Challenge to celebrate our new software and keep everyone learning the ins and outs of Knowify.

For this challenge, technicians had a chance to win one of three $30 gift cards. To enter, you had to be one of the first 30 technicians to send a screenshot of your Timecard Summary showing your most recent week. This is where you can verify and review your time entries.

We got our first 30 entries and I recorded the raffle earlier today. Click here to see if you are one of the lucky winners!

If you weren’t one of the first 30 or just want more practice in Knowify, here’s how to find your Timecard Summary:

  1. Click the 3 lines (menu)
  2. Select Timecard
  3. Click Show Summary

If you missed this one, no worries. We’ll be launching more Level Up Challenges in the weeks to come 🚀
