Job Fair Success

by Dave Rauch

Thank you so much to everyone who helped spread the word! Our Job Fair in Chula Vista was amazing, we had 105 applicants, a few on-the-spot job offers, and even some new team members joining us because of it. It means a lot to have your support as we work to bring great, qualified people onto the team.

I also want to remind you about our referral program. If you refer a skilled technician or plumber, you’ll get $500 after their first six months with us. For referrals to any other position, you’ll receive $300 after six months. Your referrals really help us build our team with talented, hardworking people, and we couldn’t do it without you!

BUSINESS NEWS

New Estimator!

by Ty Haisch

I'm excited to welcome Shayne Hollander as a new Estimator in our North County Office! Shayne is going to be a fantastic addition to our ProTec team, and we’re thrilled to have him on board. If you need to get in touch, you can reach him at 619-971-6350 or Shollander@protec.com.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

Coming back from a holiday weekend can sometimes mean a rough short workweek, and this one was no exception. We had multiple injuries that could have been prevented by using proper techniques and tools, checking work areas for hazards, and staying aware of our surroundings.

Although July and August were milder than usual, the heat is coming for the rest of September and into early Fall. Hydration is critical for every ProTecian, especially given the physical demands of our work in hot or humid conditions. Staying properly hydrated helps prevent heat-related illnesses, improves performance, and reduces the risk of accidents.

Remember:

  • Drink 16–24 oz of water before work.
  • Drink 7–10 oz every 15–20 minutes during your shift.
  • Continue hydrating with water or electrolyte drinks after work.
  • Don’t wait until you’re thirsty—thirst is a sign you’re already dehydrated.

Thank you for all that you do. Stay SAFE, stay HYDRATED, and continue looking out for yourselves and your coworkers as we work toward our goal of 30 days safe.
