A Well Deserved Recognition

by Dave Rauch

November’s Best of ProTec truly deserves the spotlight!

A homeowner couldn’t stop raving about Martin, expressing immense gratitude for the time and effort he puts into his work. From carefully laying out protective tarps to safeguarding their belongings to leaving the space cleaner than when he arrived, Martin’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence didn’t go unnoticed.

The homeowner was incredibly thankful for his dedication and the way he improved their quality of life.

Thank you, Martin, for being an exceptional representative of ProTec and for leaving a lasting impression on our clients. We’re so grateful to have you on our team! 👏

BUSINESS NEWS

Receipts – NOT OPTIONAL

by Dave Rauch

Some ProTecians are having a hard time turning in their receipts. All of us have lost receipts at one time or another, no problem. However, when we lose receipts on our jobs, that’s a BIG problem because we can’t send out our invoices to our clients. It we can’t send out invoices we then don’t have the money to cover our payroll (your checks).

This means that each month we spend thousands of dollars tracking down receipts and sending out late invoices. I can’t even tell you how much money we’re wasting on this- but it’s in the thousands. So, I am asking, no, I’m begging you to please take a photo of your receipt the moment it is handed to you at the cash register. I don’t care if the people in the checkout line must wait 10 seconds for you to take that picture. Take it like your life depended on it.

Not turning in receipts should be rare, embarrassing, and frowned upon – it’s part of your job. It causes great pain to the company and especially Karen to constantly hunt down hundreds of receipts every month. So, can you please help us here and get those receipts into Admin or we will be talking again? And for those of you who are NEVER missing a receipt, I THANK YOU!!!

2 Gifts for You!!

by Dave Rauch

Rosie is currently working hard on processing our end-of-year profit-sharing checks. While this year wasn’t as profitable as we had hoped, we still want to show our appreciation for all the dedication and hard work you put in every day. Please be patient as there are a lot of checks to process, and there’s only one Rosie! A huge thank you to Rosie—we truly appreciate you! You’ll also be receiving a jacket at this month’s safety meeting as a token of our gratitude, a Christmas gift.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

Recently we achieved the goal of 30 days safe. (You should be receiving a $25 net check if you haven't already) It was a great accomplishment that we haven’t achieved in a while, but unfortunately, we lost our momentum due to a couple of instances of late reporting. We should not be hearing about injuries that happened a month ago that now need treatment. If you suffer an injury and do not report it, you risk making the injury worse and it can prolong the treatment you may need.

Also, please remember that as we move closer to the holidays, we will likely have much colder and wetter weather on the way. Please make sure you are wearing proper slip resistant footwear on jobsites to avoid slips, trips, and falls, and be sure to stay extra vigilant while driving on wet roadways by increasing following distances and making sure your tires and windshield wipers are in good condition.

Thanks to everyone for all that you do to help our company succeed. Be sure to always look out for one another and try to treat people with kindness. Especially during the Holiday season. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful time with family and friends during the upcoming holiday festivities.

Liz Teposte – Officer of Happiness

by Dave Rauch

You may have heard that Liz Teposte has a new role in ProTec. She is now our Chief Happiness Officer (CHO). This is an unusual sounding title but it’s very apt. In addition to managing ProTec’s Fountain of Dreams, Liz is also contacting all our new hires at 30, 60 and 90 days to make sure they are integrating well into their new department and our company. She is making sure that even the little things are taken care of.

At the very least she is checking in to make sure they are happy with their new job. Yes, that might sound like something that the new employee’s managers job is, but we all know that the office is very hectic and fast-paced that the new hire’s manager is often too busy to just chat.

Plus, Liz’s agenda is to make sure everyone is happy which is different from the work itself. She is there to listen to the new hire and help where we can help. Liz is also meeting with longer term ProTecians to just check in and make sure they are happy with work. In addition to all this Liz is also helping bring fun and joy to our safety meetings and all of our offices.

We’ve just completed our kids' socks and glove drive, and Daniel Correa (535) will be delivering all the donations to an orphanage in Tijuana. Thank you for taking the time to give during this season. While we may not see the faces of those receiving these gifts, we can take comfort in knowing that we’ve made a positive impact by bringing them joy, warmth, and helping improve their quality of life. Dave's Success Tips: Lighten up. You'll live longer.

by Dave Rauch

Tip #55: Enjoy life: Treat it as an adventure. Care passionately about the outcome, but keep it in perspective. Things are seldom as bleak as they seem when they are going wrong - or as good as they seem when they are gong well. Lighten up. You'll live longer.

CONGRATULATIONS

Welcome New ProTecians
