February's (Double) Best of ProTec

by Dave Rauch

We’ve got a double win this month!

First up is Manny Jaimes (Dept. 50). Paul Mayeski (Dept. 20) sent in a shout out about Manny and the job he did on a recent site. Manny had excavated a deep hole and made sure it was properly covered with plywood and bags of dirt so the area stayed clean and safe. Paul also mentioned that Manny did a great job explaining the work he was doing and the issues he discovered along the way. He said ProTec was very well represented out there. And honestly, this is the kind of work Manny is always doing out in the field. Nice work, Manny! Proud to have you out there representing ProTec and being All In.

Our next winner is our Chief Happiness Officer, Liz Teposte (Dept. 10). Since stepping into this role, Liz has brought a lot of fun and energy to our safety meetings (all you technicians know exactly what I’m talking about). She just has a way of bringing good energy with her wherever she goes, and it’s contagious. More than that though, Liz really cares about all ProTecians. She’s always there to listen and wants to make sure people enjoy being part of the team here at ProTec. Great job, Liz! Thanks for bringing some fun to our everyday.

BUSINESS NEWS

The First Maintenance Manager of 2026

by Dave Rauch

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Dawn Bauman at the 2026 CAI Legal & Insurance Conference and talk about some of the big issues affecting our industry right now.

We covered things like reserve funding laws, the lending challenges communities are facing with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the shortage of people coming into the industry, and what the next generation of leaders might look like.

I always enjoy having these conversations because they help give a bigger picture of where the industry is headed and how it affects the work we do every day in the communities we serve. If you’ve got a few minutes, it’s worth taking a listen.

Spring Forward!

by Danyelle Reese

Don’t forget to move your clocks forward one hour before bed Saturday night. We’ll lose an hour of sleep, but the good news is longer days and more daylight ahead. No more driving home in the dark! ☀️

Skechers Program: Friends & Family

by Danyelle Reese

Just a reminder that we’re part of the Skechers Corporate Shoe Program, which means we get 30% off work-style shoes all year long.

On top of that, Skechers is running a 30% off sale on everything from 3/12–3/1 - footwear, apparel, and accessories. They don’t do sales like this very often.

If you’ve been thinking about grabbing a new pair of work shoes or just something comfortable, now’s a good time to do it. Check out the details on the flyer below.
