Maintenance Manager

by Dave Rauch

I recently had the chance to sit down with Martha Perkins of Cohere Management, and she shared a story I think everyone at ProTec should hear. An aging Los Angeles high-rise had put off maintenance for years, and it eventually resulted in a $27.5 million restoration project. We talked about the warning signs, the tough decisions that followed, and how the community ultimately turned things around.

It was a great reminder of why we do what we do. Every inspection, repair, and maintenance visit gives our clients the opportunity to stay ahead of problems before they turn into major repairs. The work our teams do every day truly makes a difference, and Martha's story is a perfect example of why proactive maintenance matters.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

Unfortunately, we lost our Safe Day Count, which means we’re back to Day 1. It’s never fun to reset, but now it’s time to start building that number back up together.

As a reminder, please stay alert when you’re on the road. Safe driving isn’t just about what you’re doing behind the wheel. Pay attention to the drivers around you, leave plenty of space, avoid distractions, and always be prepared for someone else to make an unexpected move.

And with the summer heat in full swing, don’t forget to take care of yourself throughout the day. Drink plenty of water and electrolytes, especially when you’re working outside. Don’t wait until you’re already feeling overheated or thirsty to hydrate.

Let’s look out for ourselves and each other and get that Safe Day Count climbing again. Day 1 starts now!

Don't forget! As a ProTec employee, you can save 30% on Skechers shoes through our employee discount program.
