Blacklisted to "Back on Track"

by Dave Rauch

I had the chance to sit down with Vilamoura Community Manager Aly Dale and board member David Wolff from San Clemente after they found themselves on the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac blacklist and what they shared is something every one of us should hear.

In less than a year, they went from being on the list to getting off it. We talked through the real work behind that navigating repairs, pulling together critical documentation, and keeping homeowners informed every step of the way. It took urgency, follow through, and a full team effort to make it happen.

This is exactly the kind of impact our work can have. Proud moment seeing our very own Wesley Case play a role in helping guide that process.

This is a big deal and a great reminder that what we do every day matters - IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE. For any community facing similar challenges, this shows that with the right team and execution, turning things around is possible. Definitely worth the watch.

BUSINESS NEWS

30 Days in!

by Caleb Henry

We’ve hit one month in the new software, and you guys are kicking ass. The effort, the questions, the willingness to learn, it’s all been huge.

The toughest part is behind us. Now it’s about dialing things in and getting better every day. You’ve all put in the work and it shows. Keep it up!

Finally, let’s all stay on top of getting receipts photographed and into the app right after every purchase. This is a big one. We need to support Karen Molster and the AP team by making sure nothing slips through the cracks. No missing receipts.

CompanyCam Update

by Caleb Henry

Quick update on CompanyCam - moving forward, the Bids Team is going to set up the project for you when the job gets created in Knowify. The idea here is simple: when you get to the site, everything is already ready to go so you can start capturing photos, videos, and notes right away.

This should make it a lot easier to document what you’re seeing, help with estimating when you are back at the office, and help us build stronger, more detailed proposals since we can include this information with our proposals. The better info we have, the better we can communicate with the client and ultimately win more work.

From Knowify – you can access the project in CompanyCam this way if it is created. If it is not, it will say “Create in CompanyCam” and you can click that and the project will then be available for you.

If you’ve got questions or want a quick refresher on how to use CompanyCam, just reach out (chenry@protec.com). I’m always happy to hop on a quick screen share and walk through it with you. There’s a lot of good stuff in there that can make your day-to-day easier once you get used to it.

Also, big shoutout to our Site Analysts (Anthony MacPherson, Roberto Kestler, and Daryl Nelson). They knocked out over 150 CARE reports combined in April, which is awesome. They’re also a great resource if you need help or have questions out in the field on the software.

Appreciate everyone leaning into this - keep it up. If you need anything at all related to any of the new software, just shoot me an email or give me a ring. The more questions we can get answered quickly, the better we will be, and the more success we will have as a company.

Also, if you have any requests of the software to make it better, send them over and we will add them to the list that we share with the different software development teams.

Safety First

by Tim Lampman

As we spring into May, we’re off to a strong start with 16 days safe. Great job. Let’s keep that momentum going. Once we hit 30 days safe, we’ll be raffling off $100 net checks to 20 lucky ProTecians.

With summer around the corner, it’s also a good time to refocus on hydration. That’s what we covered in this month’s safety topic. Staying hydrated isn’t just important, it’s essential to keeping everyone safe on the job.

To help with that, we handed out Coleman water jugs to everyone who attended the safety meeting. If you missed it or didn’t get one, reach out to your supervisor and we’ll get you taken care of.

We also introduced a new twist to safety meeting trivia this quarter. We’ll be asking questions based on the safety topic, and if you answer correctly, you’ll have a chance to win a lottery ticket. Just make sure you’ve got your safety coin with you.

Thank you for all the hard work you’re putting in every day. Let’s keep looking out for each other and keep those safe days climbing as we head into May.

AWARDS & CELEBRATIONS

Best of ProTec - April

by Dave Rauch

Our Best of ProTec for April is Miguel Corona from Dept. 60.

Miguel got a great shoutout from a homeowner who was really impressed with his work. She said, “He obviously takes pride in his work, but he also cares about our property,” and mentioned that because of him, work has been getting done now that should’ve been taken care of years ago.

This is the kind of feedback that gets me fired up. It’s exactly what our purpose (improving quality of life) looks like in action.

Miguel, thank you for showing up the way you do and representing ProTec so well. This is the culture we’re all building together. Congratulations! Please know that you “matter big time” to D-60 AND ProTec.

Core Value Stories

by Liz Teposte

Every month, we recognize an Employee of the Month, or as we like to call it, the Best of ProTec.

These team members are selected based on kudos from clients and homeowners, as well as Core Value stories submitted by fellow ProTecians. The more shoutouts someone receives, the better their chances of being recognized.

A Core Value story is simply a shoutout. It could be recognizing someone who’s living out our core values, helping a teammate, or going above and beyond. If you see it, call it out.

At the bottom of every newsletter, you’ll find a link to submit a Core Value story, along with the “Just Tell ProTec” button. That’s your chance to highlight your coworkers and share ideas or feedback directly with the exec team. They review submissions every week and take them seriously, so don’t hesitate to speak up. Did I mention you not only get recognized by all ProTecians but you also get $250.

Take a minute to recognize someone. It goes a long way and could help them become the next Best of ProTec.
