Congratulations Andy!

by Dave Rauch

This week, Andy was honored with the Vision Award for Southern California, recognizing his leadership and outstanding contributions to our industry. He conducted an interview with Scott Stewart, the former manager of Champlain Towers South, the high-rise in Surfside Florida that collapsed on June 24th, 2001. Scott shared valuable insights at the 2023 High Rise and Large Scale Summit with Andy as the moderator. It was a hit and very impactful and memorable for all who attended. In addition to that interview, he published an article in CACM's magazine titled Lessons Learned from the Champlain Towers South Tragedy: Building a Safer Future, and has served on the CACM Industry Partner Council and two local committees, showcasing his unwavering commitment to bettering our industry. All this while successfully leading the business development, real estate acquisition and strategic company acquisition  teams here at ProTec. We feel incredibly fortunate to have Andy on our team and take immense pride in his well-deserved recognition. Andy is full of heart and love and it’s reciprocal. Congratulations!

BUSINESS NEWS

Maintenance New Sheen

by Dave Rauch

The collapse of Champlain Towers South causing the death of 98 people has changed our industry in major ways. In the past if you were an HOA board member and you didn’t properly maintain your community there were little if any negative consequences. Now most boards understand that, in certain cases, one of the consequences could be the actual death of your members. There are over 354,000 HOA’s in the USA and 54,000 in California. There are hundreds, if not thousands of communities that have significant deferred maintenance and that are in danger as we write this. Now, the federal government has even stepped in. Fannie Mae will no longer allow some HOA’s to obtain conventional financing if they have significant deferred maintenance. Insurance carriers too are also getting into the fight against deferred maintenance because 40% of all insurance losses are caused by water intrusion. So, many insurance carriers are no longer insuring HOA’s with significant deferred maintenance. For all of these reasons, and more, the industry’s leading educational and legislative advocate, CAI, has been singing the praises of maintenance. It seems that ProTec is riding a cresting wave and that in a few years maintenance programs (CAMPs) will proliferate nationally – and none too soon.

Fleet Safety & Driving Milestone Achieved!

by Mark Adams

A big shoutout to all fleet vehicle drivers! We've reached a significant milestone with the first month of all drivers maintaining a driver scorecard above 85%, averaging an impressive score of 97.1%. This is an incredible achievement, with many drivers taking ownership of their scores and demonstrating their learning and growth. Another round of applause for the 95 "Low Risk Drivers" who are fully committed to driver safety. Kudos to all for making this happen! Even Dave Rauch now drives in the slow lane.

February Survey to Clients

by Caleb Henry

It's that time again! Early next week we will be sending out our second survey email to our clients for the critical number. This month our question will be, "On a scale from 1-10, how would you rank the timeliness of our bids or proposals?" The purpose of these questions acts as a temperature gauge to see how we're progressing and what we still need to work on. We will share the results with everyone once we get them back.

Reminder - at the end of March we will ask "On a scale from 1-10, how likely would you be to refer ProTec to a friend or colleague?" which we use to calculate our NPS score. This survey is the one that will determine if we reach our quarterly Critical Number goal of a 52 NPS score. Please continue to communicate with our clients as past surveys have indicated that “good communication” is one of greatest opportunities for improvement. If we can improve drastically as a company it will be because of that one thing - better communication.

Please, if you have any feedback from our clients click the link below and share it. We are at almost 75% of our quarterly goal of 200 client submissions. Keep up the great work!
