Bishop Brennan blessed the throats of his Diocesan staff in honor of the Feast Day of St. Blaise, patron saint of throat ailments.
On the Feast of St. Blaise, Catholics traditionally get their throats blessed. Catholics pray for the intercession of St. Blaise to protect against illness during this special blessing.
