Bishop Brennan Ordains 15 New Deacons

On October 4th, Bishop Brennan celebrated the Diaconate Ordination at St. Charles Borromeo in Visalia. He ordained 14 permanent deacons and 1 transitional deacon into our Diocese!

The Relic Visitation of St. Thérèse of Lisieux

The relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux are coming to the Diocese of Fresno THIS WEEKEND! From October 18th to the 20th, the relics will be at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Visalia.

The Annual Outdoor All Souls Day Mass will not be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery this year. We encourage you to attend Mass at your local parish and offer prayers to our beloved brothers and sisters on Sunday, November 2nd.

Holy Hour for Vocations

National Vocation Awareness Week (Nov. 2 - Nov. 8, 2025)


In celebration of National Vocations Awareness Week, the Office of Vocations will be holding a Holy Hour. Join them on Sunday, November 2nd at the Shrine of St. Therese in Fresno starting at 3pm to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Following the Holy Hour will be a reception and vocational fair at the parish hall!


Please note that the Office of Vocation's Monthly Priesthood Discernment Group Meeting scheduled for Sunday, November 2nd at Sacred Heart Church in Bakersfield is cancelled. Men in discernment are encouraged to attend the Holy Hour for Vocations.

All men (ages 18-35) who are considering a vocation to the religious life or priesthood are invited to attend an upcoming discernment meeting on Friday, October 17th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe's parish rectory in Bakersfield.

All Souls Day Mass

St. Catherine of Siena, Hornitos

The Catholic community of Hornitos invites the faithful to join them for a procession and Mass on All Souls Day, November 2nd, at 4:00pm.


The procession will begin at Hornitos Plaza and will conclude with a Mass at St. Catherine's Church/Hornitos' cemetery.


Participants may place battery operated candles at the graves of family, friends or any unit grave.

The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem

New Members from the Diocese of Fresno!

The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem welcomed 5 new members from the Diocese of Fresno at their annual meeting.


The Equestrian Order provides aid to the Church in the Holy Land and strengthens the practice of Christian life amongst its members.


Fun Fact: Bishop Brennan, Bishop Emeritus Ochoa and Msgr. Patrick McCormick are a part of the Equestrian Order in the Diocese of Fresno!
