Bishop Brennan hosts panel at California Catholic Conference's

Love IRL: A Radiate Love Marriage Summit

Bishop Brennan attended Catholic Catholic Conference's Love IRL: A Radiate Love Marriage Summit on Friday, September 26th at Christ the Light Cathedral in Oakland.


The summit equipped ministry leaders serving young people and families to build a vibrant marriage culture at their parishes and schools.


The California bishops hosted panels on marriage and dating!


Bishop Brennan hosted a panel focused on discernment, dating and vocations. He was joined by Emily Wilson (Sacred Spark), Fr. John Winkowitsch, OP. (Diocese of Oakland), Alex O’Connor and Genevieve Scherer (The Culture Project).

Annual Priest Retreat

Receive a Plenary Indulgence in Celebration of St. Thérèse of Lisieux

This month, Valley Catholics have the opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence in celebration of St. Thérèse's Feast Day (Oct. 1).


To obtain the plenary indulgence, the faithful must visit and attend Mass at one of the following locations between now and October 20th:


  • The Shrine of St. Thérèse, Fresno
  • St. Charles Borromeo, Visalia


The faithful must also participate in the veneration of the Holy Relic of St. Thérèse at one of the two locations within the same timeframe.

Garden of Innocence

Bishop Brennan attended the Garden of Innocence's burial service at Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno.


The Garden of Innocence seeks to offer honorable funeral services for the most vulnerable by laying children to rest in a loving environment.

Health Tip

Did you know that staying hydrated should be at the top of your To Do list every day? Our daily well-being depends on water.


Staying out of the dehydration zone is positive for every function in your body. Hydration will help you feel your best daily.

Signs of dehydration:



  • irritability
  • depression
  • fatigue
  • sweet cravings
  • concentration problems
  • muscle cramps, etc.


Benefits of staying hydrated:



  • increased energy levels
  • improved kidney function
  • reduced stress
  • a stronger immune and digestion system
  • increased mental focus, clarity and memory

A general recommendation of liquid intake per day is approximately 3.7 liters (15 ½ cups) for men, and 2.7 liters (11 ½ cups) for women.
