Bishop Brennan celebrates the

Annual Blue Mass

Bishop Brennan celebrated the Annual Blue Mass in honor of our first responders at St. John's Cathedral on Friday, September 27th. The Blue Mass is a Catholic tradition in which the Bishop calls Catholics from around the area to pray for active, retired and fallen first responders.

Thank you to our first responders, their loved ones and all who support first responders for attending this unifying and special Mass!

Catechetical Ministry

The Catechetical Corner

Month of the Holy Rosary with our Students

The month of October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7th.

As catechists, we can incorporate the rosary in many ways in our faith sharing. When praying the rosary with children, you may be wondering if they will sit still or be distracted. The short answer is, yes, they might not be still, and, yes, small children may be distracted at times.

The following are some helpful tips to get started praying this powerful and beautiful devotion within teaching components of our lesson plans for this month of October with our students.
