A New Year Message from Bishop Brennan

When I look back on 2025, what stands out to me is the great need among so many people in our communities. As we enter 2026, I anticipate a deepening care and concern for those who are in most need.

I am so proud of the many charitable functions throughout our Catholic Community. We are blessed by the operations of Catholic Charities, a Diocesan organization that serves our whole Valley. We are also blessed by the service organizations that operate out of each of our parishes.

I anticipate seeing a profound response to the needs before us, people caring for one another in even greater ways than we’ve witnessed in recent years. I will continue to do all I can to advocate for those in need and to encourage a spirit of accompaniment and stewardship among Valley Catholics.

- Most Rev. Joseph V. Brennan, D.D.

A Special Thank You to Our Readers

It’s 2026! This new year marks the 5th volume of our newsletter!

Every week, I have the honor of sending out this newsletter with the mission to Proclaim the Good News of our Diocese. However, none of this could get done without the support and contributions of our parishes, pastoral center staff, clergy, religious sisters, ministries, organizations, and our Bishops.

I want to express my gratitude for everyone’s ongoing support, and I am happy to keep the newsletter going as the Diocese of Fresno’s Digital Communications Strategist!  The newsletter is one of the channels in our digital communication strategy that we use to streamline information out to our parishes.

As you may know, social media is another one of our digital platforms used to communicate with you and the faithful. If you haven’t followed us on social media yet.... our accounts will be linked below!

Thank you and Happy New Year! 😊
