Christmas Eve Mass
Saint Jude Catholic Church, Easton
The Christmas Eve Mass on Sunday, Dec 24th at 10:00pm at Saint Jude Catholic Church included children from our CCD program. I would like to thank these wonderful kids and their families for their heart felt participation. They were all wonderful as they did their part.
The church was dark except for the candlelight that was carried by the kids and a few extra held by parishioners at the aisle as the procession entered for Mass. It was silent, except only the piano that played "What Child Is This." Thank you to all that helped and participated.

Remembering those in Need
this Christmas
St. Anthony of Padua, Fresno
St. Anthony of Padua School and Parish collected toys, toiletries, blankets and more for Catholic Charities. It was heartwarming to see our St. Anthony students, parishioners and Silver Angels members celebrating the true meaning of Christmas by remembering those in need.

Family Christmas Sing-Along
Divine Mercy Church, Clovis
On December 17th, Divine Mercy Catholic Church held its 2nd Annual Family Christmas Sing-Along. Parishioners came out to enjoy and sing alongside the children and youth of the religious education program, who put on a heart-warming representation of the story of our Lord's birth.
Thank you to the catechists, choir and parents who helped out with this year's sing-along. We also give a very special thank you to all of the children who worked so hard to bring baby Jesus's story to life for our community!

Healing Circles during the Holiday Season
Crime Survivors Ministry
Healing circles to help victims of crime and their families cope with the holiday season were offered through the Crime Survivors Ministry. The Healing Circles took place on December 10th at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center in Fresno and on December 17th at St. John the Evangelist in Wasco.
As the victims and survivors of crime and their families grieve for the loss of their loved ones and deal with the pain and suffering of the harm they had experienced, they are hoping to find peace and comfort in the love of God. As they put their trust in our Lord, they hoped to be able to celebrate Christmas day with a quiet joy in their hearts rejoicing the birth of baby Jesus. Let us embrace the victims of crime and their families with our love and prayers as one community. Please keep the ministry and the people they are serving in your prayers.

The Catechetical Corner
One Life LA
On Saturday, January 20, 2024, Eli Medina, our Youth /Young Adults Ministry Coordinator, and I will have the opportunity to coordinate and take a group of parishioners from around our diocese to the event of One Life LA in Los Angeles on behalf of the Pastoral Center once again.
The reason we make the trip to Los Angeles for this event is because of the participation of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, which our Diocese is under, and of course, why our bishops participate along with other clergy, religious and laity from the other dioceses under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
One Life LA's mission is to unite communities and inspire positive action through this annual event that promotes the beauty and dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.
One Life LA partners with community-based organizations in Southern California that provide support to pregnant women, immigrants, refugees, the homeless, survivors of human trafficking, the elderly, the disabled, the dying and help foster children find a forever home. With this commitment to service, they want participants to see this event not only as a one-day walk and festival, but as a call to build their communities and serve those in need.
