Radiate Love: World Marriage Day
On Sunday, Feb. 11th, the Catholic Church celebrated World Marriage Day. Bishop Brennan and his brother Bishops in California utilized the day to launch their new initiative, Radiate Love.
Radiate Love is an initiative to celebrate marriage and family. Marriage is a radiant gift from God. While not everyone is called to marriage, this Vocation is an integral and meaningful way for us to fulfill the deepest longing of our hearts.
In case you missed it, Bishop Brennan shared the story of his parents and their marriage.

The Catechetical Corner
Lent Activities with our Children
Lent is an important period in the Christian tradition that is celebrated before Holy Week. During these forty days, families and religious communities participate in various activities that seek to encourage reflection, penance and spiritual preparation. In this sense, it is essential to involve children in these experiences, giving them the opportunity to understand and live the meaning of Lent in a way that is appropriate to their age.
For children, Lent can be seen as a time for prayer and spiritual growth. It is an opportunity for them to learn about the importance of penance and abstinence, as well as about the unconditional love of Jesus and his sacrifice for humanity.
Through the eyes of children, Lent can be seen as a time to do good deeds and help others. They can learn about the importance of charity and service to those most in need, participating in activities such as donating food to food banks, visiting the elderly or sick, or participating in community service opportunities.
