Bishop Brennan celebrated Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. John's Cathedral on Friday, December 12th.
Valley Catholics prayed the rosary and sang Las Mañanitas for Our Lady before the Mass.

Following the Mass celebrated by Bishop Brennan, they enjoyed traditional dances, food and music.

St. Joachim's school celebrated Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception!
During Mass, the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception received a special recognition for their continuous love, prayer, and dedication to the school community! Mrs. Heather Forcey, principal of St. Joachim's School, presented them with flowers and heartfelt cards.

Spreading Christmas Cheer through Music

| The choir at St. Anne's School sang at Porterville's 46th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony to kick off the Christmas season with the community. A few of the students portrayed a live manger scene, adding a special touch to the celebration. | | |

Celebrate Las Posadas with St. John's Cathedral!
Join them from December 20th to the 23rd at 6:30pm inside the hall for live music, hot chocolate, pan dulce and raffles.
Raffle tickets: $5.00 each for 5 tickets for $20.00.

Food Drive
St. Philip the Apostle, Bakersfield
The Knights of Columbus Council #9530 and the Outreach Ministry of St. Philip the Apostle in Bakersfield teamed up for their Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive from November 22nd to the 23rd.
They received over 6,000 pounds of food for Catholic Charities, Golden Empire Gleaners (local food bank), and the parish.
