Catechetical Ministries

Catechetical Ministries in Motion

New PCL Ministry Boot Camp

This past weekend we hosted our annual Ministry Boot Camp for new parish catechetical leaders at Santa Teresita Youth Conference Center in Three Rivers. We would like to thank all the ministry leaders that attended, the conference center staffs, along with Safe Environment Coordinator of the Diocese of Fresno, Lucia Magaña, that accompanied us and shared a talk on Safe Environment.

This annual Ministry Boot Camp is focused on supporting new ministry leaders with guidance and resources on subjects that pertain specifically to their parish leadership role as directors, coordinators, or ministry leaders. Even though the topics are focused specifically on supporting new leaders in adapting to their new roles we always open the invitation to ministry leaders that have been serving for many years as well. Topics such as Building Community and Prayer, Forming Catechists, Effective Communication, Event and Function Forms, Time Management, and Developing a Program along with Catechists Recruitment serve as a bases of guidance and understanding in which a new ministry leader will hopefully be able to apply the knowledge and information they received and support the ministries under their care with more efficiency.
