Decree:

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Goshen

The Diocese of Fresno announced that St Thomas the Apostle church, which is a mission of Good Shepherd Parish in Visalia, will no longer be utilized for Divine Worship. After carefully considering the pastoral and financial needs of Good Shepherd Parish, it was decided that the church building in Goshen would be better utilized as a gathering space for the Catholic community.

Good Shepherd Parish serves the entire city of Visalia and the neighboring community of Goshen. The parish was consolidated in 2016 to better serve the vitality of the Church in the area.

In effect as of 30 days from April 15, 2025, St. Thomas the Apostle Church will no longer be used for divine worship.
