Bishop Brennan celebrates Mass of Thanksgiving at the Nazareth House
The Sisters of Nazareth are celebrating 100 years in America! On May 12th, Bishop Brennan celebrated Mass of Thanksgiving at the Nazareth House in Fresno in honor of this special milestone.

Decree:
St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Goshen
The Diocese of Fresno announced that St Thomas the Apostle church, which is a mission of Good Shepherd Parish in Visalia, will no longer be utilized for Divine Worship. After carefully considering the pastoral and financial needs of Good Shepherd Parish, it was decided that the church building in Goshen would be better utilized as a gathering space for the Catholic community.
Good Shepherd Parish serves the entire city of Visalia and the neighboring community of Goshen. The parish was consolidated in 2016 to better serve the vitality of the Church in the area.
In effect as of 30 days from April 15, 2025, St. Thomas the Apostle Church will no longer be used for divine worship.

The Annual Outdoor Memorial Day Mass

Join Bishop Brennan and the Diocese of Fresno's Catholic Cemeteries in honoring those who have served our country on Memorial Day.
All are invited to the Annual Outdoor Memorial Day Mass on Monday, May 26, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Fresno beginning at 10:00am.

Mount Angel Abbey & Seminary, Oregon
On May 10th, two of our Diocesan seminarians graduated from Mount Angel Abbey and Seminary in Oregon!
Congratulations to Deacon Martin Ortega, who earned a Masters of Arts in Divinity and Roman Espitia who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology with honors!
We ask the faithful to continue to pray for them and their brother seminarians as they journey towards the priesthood.

Divine Mercy, Clovis
Divine Mercy's First Communicants and Pastor Fr. Michael Cox, honored Mary by each bringing her a white rose to create a beautiful bouquet. The entire community was so blessed to witness this small gesture of love and respect for Mary during the First Communicants' important day!

25th Priestly Anniversary
Our Lady of Victory, Fresno
Fr. Jesus Vargas, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church in Fresno, celebrated his 25th Priesthood Anniversary on May 13th. Bishop Brennan and brother clerics joined Fr. Jesus in celebration of his special anniversary.
During Mass, the children at the parish prayed over Fr. Jesus in front of the Blessed Mother of Fatima.
