First Holy Communion
Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Clovis
On May 7, 2023, the 41 sacrament prepped students of Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Clovis received First Holy Communion at 2 Masses celebrated by our Pastor, Rev. Michael Cox. It was a joyous occasion for all, as the children had greatly anticipated receiving Jesus in the Eucharist! They had prepared for many months and were able to make a small parent & child retreat in the days leading up to their first communion.
Divine Mercy is a new and growing parish in the Clovis East area and this is our largest First Communion class to date! God bless our new first communicants, their families and the entire Divine Mercy community.

The Catechetical Corner
Eucharistic Revival - Parish Phase
As we get closer to the second phase of the National Eucharistic Revival, which starts on June 11, 2023, hopefully point persons for their parish have at least begun to put their team together and a plan to get started in creating, adapting, or even continuing events that will support in the process of bringing their parishioners together for moments of faith sharing, community building, and adoration of the Eucharist. We ourselves here at the Office of Formation and Evangelization have already offered 8 orientation sessions in which we guided parish point persons on the resources that are available and how to implement them in the activities and events that take place in their parish and will continue to support those that need it.
For those that do not know what the National Eucharistic Revival is you can use the link below the article to find out more information from the National Website. Also, bear in mind the resources and information that are available through the Diocese of Fresno website at dioceseoffresno.org.
