Catholic Schools Week

January 29th - February 4th

It's officially Catholic Schools Week! Bishop Brennan and the Diocese of Fresno deeply appreciates our Diocesan and Parish Catholic Schools. Thank you to all our dedicated faculty and educators and of course, our students and their parents!

"Be a Saint in Training"

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Clovis

As a lead into Catholic Schools Week, the Kindergarten class chose a Saint to research. They all researched and wrote up a report on the Saint of their choice and then they were able to dress up as their Saint. Students talked about their Saint to their peers in class.

The Kindergarten class motto is “Be a Saint in training” and this is the perfect way to embody that by learning about these holy men and women.

Join Fr. Robert Borges on a Pilgrimage to Ireland from June 4 - June 14, 2023!

This pilgrimage includes visiting the Knock Shrine in Ireland. This is a place of pilgrimage where Mother Mary, Saint Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared on the evening of August 21, 1879. This heavenly apparition occurred at the gable wall of the Parish Church when our Lady appeared in the company of St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist.

Catechetical Ministries in Motion

One Life LA 2023

This past Saturday Eli Medina, our Youth/Young Adults Ministry Coordinator, and I had the opportunity to coordinate and take a small group of parishioners from around our diocese to the event of One Life LA in Los Angeles on behalf of the Pastoral Center. The reason we make the trip out to Los Angeles for this event is because of the participation of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, of which our Diocese is under, and of course as to why our Bishops participate as well along with other clergy, religious and laity from the other dioceses under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

One Life LA's mission is to unite communities and inspire positive action through this annual event that promotes the beauty and dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.

In 2015, One Life LA began in Los Angeles as a one-day event with the purpose of starting a movement of love and mercy throughout the community. Over the years, tens of thousands of people have gathered in downtown Los Angeles to witness the beauty and dignity of every human life.

One Life LA partners with community-based organizations in Southern California that provide support to pregnant women, immigrants, refugees, the homeless, survivors of human trafficking, the elderly, the disabled and the dying, and help foster children find a forever home. With this commitment to service, they want participants to see this event not only as a one-day walk and festival, but as a call to build their communities and serve those in need.
