St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal, Delano
A few weeks ago, I found myself at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal parish in Delano to go over a talk which included a review of the new Confirmation Guidelines. I would like to thank Fr. Loji Pilones and Director of Religious Education Nellie Sierra for the invitation.
If you are a catechetical leader that directs or coordinates a Youth Confirmation program in your parish and have not received the new Confirmation Guidelines, you are encouraged to contact our office to receive your copy. The guidelines for Confirmation do not only serve as a guide on what is expected of Confirmation programs in our Diocese but also on how to meet the core needs of your program curriculum according to the needs of those you attend to. Of course, they would also serve a foundation to build from when it came to the specific expectations of your pastor for your parish as well.
Along with going over the guidelines I wanted to make sure that I shared specific methods that could expand upon the process in which a generalized program should look like and how to address the youth that we prepare for this Sacrament
