Golden Jubilee of Sr. Mary Margaret Tapang's Religious Profession
Bishop Brennan celebrated Mass for the 50th Anniversary of the Religious Profession of Sr. Mary Margaret Tapang, PDDM at St. Mary Queen of the Apostles Church in Fresno.

Bishop Brennan celebrates the
Feasts of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Lucy
On December 15th, Bishop Brennan celebrated the Feasts of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec. 12) and St. Lucy (Dec. 13) at St. Lucy's Church in Fowler. Following the Mass, the parish held St. Lucy's Got Talent, a platform for parishioners to showcase their talents. Bishop Brennan joined the talent show and sang a Christmas song!

On Saturday, December 14th, the students of Our Lady of Miracles School in Gustine reenacted the Journey to Bethlehem.
The school choir accompanied them to create a magical night that put everyone in the spirit of Advent!

Children Advent: 4 Days of Teaching
St. Joseph's Church, Bakersfield
St. Joseph's Parish in Bakersfield held their Children Advent: 4 Days of Teaching for children ages 4 to 12.
Fr. Jimmy Millan and Fr. James Tasy helped with the teaching as the children traveled back in time to the annunciation, visitation, journey back to Bethlehem and the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
On the last night, the children performed a concert for their families!

Nativity Play
St. Paul Catholic Newman Center, Fresno
The Religious Education classes at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center in Fresno performed a Nativity play.
Fr. Rubi Peter, C.M.F and Deacon David Gutierrez, C.M.F. got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the reception following the play!

Women's Christmas Tea
Infant Jesus of Prague, Tollhouse
On December 7th, the women of Infant Jesus of Prague held the Divine Mercy Parish Women's Christmas Tea at their beautiful mission in Tollhouse.
Over 50 women and girls gathered at the Christmas Tea for fellowship, food and fun! There were readings of original Christian poetry, short stories and singing of Christmas carols.
The event raised over $400.00 for the Divine Mercy building project!

Catholic Extension Story
Alicia Meza, a friend of the Office of Formation and Evangelization, earned her Master's Degree through Catholic Extension Society's scholarship program.
Alicia is now serving as the Director of Religious Education at St. Anthony Mary Claret Church in Fresno.
