Bishop Brennan kicks off the

Jubilee Year of Hope

It's officially the Jubilee Year of Hope! Bishop Brennan kicked off the Year of Hope with a special Mass at St. John's Cathedral in Fresno on Sunday, December 29th.

What a beautiful turnout it was! We would like to give a special thank you to all who joined.

Shrines and Columbarium at

St. Charles Borrome Church

Bishop Brennan blessed the Major and Minor Shrines and Columbarium, a resting place for urns, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Visalia.

Congratulations Good Shepherd Catholic Parish on the newly installed shrines and blessing of the columbarium!

One of our missions as the Office of Communications is to Proclaim the Good News of our Diocese. In our effort to fulfill that, we sincerely hope our newsletter brings light and positivity to your Monday mornings.

We are so grateful to have such wonderful bishops, clergy, religious, parishes, schools, ministries, organizations, pastoral center staff and readers who contribute to this.

Parish Champions: Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Feats by Mike Zinn tells the stories of parishioners and their great work at churches throughout the United States.

Patty Reis, parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bakersfield, was one of the parishioners to be highlighted in Parish Champions. Patty is involved in Grieving with Great Hope, a seven-week program at St. Elizabeth that supports people through loss.
