DYK? Property Disposition is here to help!

Does your department have unneeded or obsolete computers, equipment, or furniture you'd like to dispose of? Property Disposition is responsible for the disposal of all U-M property designated as surplus by units, per SPG 520.01 on Acquisition, Use and Disposition of Property. Examples include computers, lab equipment, and furniture.

The department’s mission is to sell, recycle, or dispose of surplus equipment to the best advantage of U-M. In general, 90 percent  of all proceeds are returned to the department that’s disposing of the property. For more information on Property Disposition and the disposal process, visit this website.
