PDM upgrades and functionality

Running late deliveries can now be automatically deleted after specified time.

What does "running late" mean?

Deliveries or regular deliveries (dossett trays) that have been scheduled by the staff or PDM (repeat scheduler), but have not been delivered on the scheduled day. :-

  1. Patient has collected,
  2. The prescription not ready,
  3. The driver unwell, no deliveries done that day.
  4. The patient in the hospital,
  5. Delivery left behind.
  6. Pharmacy closed i.e. bank holiday.

These deliveries will appear in red as running late on PDM. The staff would be able to click on the running late tab (home page) and see the undelivered prescriptions and resolve any issues. Currently the system does not automatically delete and many pharmacies have build up to large a number to resolve, with this update you will be able to set up a number of days that a prescription will be allowed to be running late before it is archived. The driver can also see the deliveries for today but also the running late prescriptions which he can prioritise.

Refresh sensitivity control (click)

we have created a mechanism to alter the sensitivity of refreshing the task list.

Microsoft Azure (click)

We are pleased to announce that PDMv3 is now hosted on Microsoft Azure. This will ensure that your data will be more secure, performance will be improved and no down time will occur

On hold (click)- Ability to change time of retention.

When a prescription is cancelled or failed it will go on to hold. This would enable the pharmacy to reschedule the delivery under the same delivery reference.

Functionality of PDM

Quick scheduling deliveries (click)

A quick scan feature has been developed enabling delivery drivers to quickly schedule deliveries.

The attached gif is the actual time it takes PDM to scan (3 seconds) and verify that the prescription has been scheduled.

Multiple deliveries to one address (Click)

In PDMv3 multiple deliveries to one address would appear as one delivery to an address/location with the actual number of individual deliveries shown within the address.

Third party access (click)

With PDMv3, care organisations can not only be notified by email or text on a client’s delivery but third party access can be given to PDM allowing all pending and completed deliveries to be seen by the care organisation.
