It has been a while since we shared the adventures of  Production World. So, we're back, and with some interesting highlights of recent events to share. Enjoy the read. We certainly welcome any comments  you may have.

"Lights, Camera ....  Production!" is the headline to the cover feature of Production World (pictured L-R Jon Beckett, President/Co-founder - Kelly Kimo, Vice President/Co-founder - Chris Duncan, Director of Studio Services) in the May 31st issue of Business In Edmonton. As one of the leading live event and virtual event production companies, Production World has produced thousands of events at all scales over two and a half decades. We were thrilled to tell our story in this Business In Edmonton article. Read the story online. 

It's the most exciting part of hockey, without the hockey! Production World, exclusive audio-visual production supplier to the River Cree Resort & Casino, worked with their client, Ice Wars International, to produce the first event of this kind staged in Alberta on May 21st. In addition to providing lighting, sound and streaming video broadcast, Production World's Chief Builder, Carmon Arlett, built the custom rink. The event was dubbed the "8 man Heavyweight King of The Rink Tournament!". Each bout, fought on synthetic ice, is comprised of two, one-minute rounds, with a 30-second ice-breaker overtime round in case of a draw.  And ---yes --- fighters drop actual hockey gloves to start the fight.

CRESCENDO AT THE WINDSPEAR

After a two-year pandemic pause, CRESCENDO returned to the WInspear in Edmonton and the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary. Produced by the John Cameron Changing Lives Foundation, this concert featured a 150 strong choir, many talented artists and musicians delivering high-energy classic rock and pop hits. It was all in support of mental health initiatives driven by the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and Michael Landberg's charity, Sick Not Weak. Production World was pleased to provide production services once again.

JANN ARDEN IN THE VENUE

Jann Arden, the multi-platinum, award-winning artist graced the The Venue stage on June 11th.

In her career to date, Jann has released 14 albums with 19 top ten singles, received 8 Juno Awards including Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. She hosted the Awards ceremony in 1997 and again in 2016. Arden is also the recipient of 10 SOCAN Awards, 4 Western Canadian Music Awards, a Much Music Video Award, 3 Prairie Music Awards, and an Alberta Recording Industry Association Award.  Her performances are always a favorite for the Production World crew who, as always, delivered impeccable production and sound.
