“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
-- Matthew 5:13-16
We are living in a pivotal season when a spiritual battle between light and darkness is raging. Despite civil unrest, war, attacks on God’s design for marriage and the family, and attempts to silence voices of faith, we are seeing a mighty move of God all around us.
People in America and around the world turning to Christ in record numbers. Praise and worship can be heard in state houses and in the White House. Justice is being upheld and the rule of law is being restored. New world records for baptism and Bible reading are being set right here in America! People are reading the Bible in record numbers, and the Word of God is filling them with a new boldness to carry the hope of Christ to the broken.
Even when cultural darkness seems strong, remember that God is working, and He is calling you to be a beacon of His light. Don’t be afraid to shine brightly! We know that our faithful God will bring the victory in His perfect time!
For faith, for freedom, and for His glory, let’s stand together and shine!
In Christ,
The Salt & Light Global Team

Marriage Officiants & the First Amendment
Earlier this month, the MI Senate Committee on Local Government held a hearing on SB 285, SB 286, and SB 287, which, among other things, criminalize clergy who officiate marriage ceremonies for couples seeking spiritual union without a government permission slip. The bill package also contains dangerous elements that put women and the vulnerable at increased risk of coercion and exploitation. Read the testimony of Professor Wagner and Katherine Bussard here.

Fidelity Month Prayer
Almighty and merciful Lord, we praise You and thank You for all You have given us in Your great and unmerited generosity. Please help us to remember who we are, and Whose we are. Grant us the grace to unite as one people in turning back to You with all of our hearts, with all of our souls, and with all of our minds. Cleanse us of all that separates us from You, and help us to cultivate the virtues we need this day and always, so that we may grow in fidelity to You – Who are always faithful – and to our spouses and families, and to our communities and country, and thereby live in accordance with Your holy will. In Your boundless mercy and lovingkindness, Lord, please heal and restore our land. Amen.
