As we move into The Denver Foundation’s 100th year, we felt that it was time to examine the Professional Advisor's Council (PAC) direction to ensure we align with the foundation's commitment to improving the community we share. With that goal in mind, we couldn’t ask for a better PAC chair to lead us through this very special year than Miranda Hawkins.
Practicing law since 1999 and a named partner at Hawkins Gordon, Miranda is one of the best estate planning attorneys in Denver. Miranda has started off strong, leading the PAC with a sharp mind and an open heart. She is a fierce advocate of The Denver Foundation. She and I believe the best way to make our centennial year a success is to make certain that PAC members and professional advisors involved at The Denver Foundation are experts in the foundation’s hands-on approach to philanthropy.
We’re off to a great start this year, partnering with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD), who generously hosted the first PAC meeting of 2025 in early February. CPRD educated advisors on their rich and compelling history in Denver and how they became the powerhouse nonprofit we know and love today. Naomi Amaha, our director of policy and government affairs, shared how CPRD’s commitment to civic engagement earned a grant from our Civic Fabric Fund.
Advisors in attendance also learned about CPRD’s state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction that will allow their community impact to grow and support Denverites for many generations to come. We covered The Denver Foundation’s history, learning about key moments over the last century that have made the foundation the dynamic organization we are today.
I look forward to sharing more PAC updates in the spring. We are planning this year’s fall workshop, keep an eye out for a save-the-date and invitation later in the year. As always, don’t hesitate to contact me for any advisor-related inquiries via email or phone call.
