Understanding Positive Ways to Engage Neurotypical & Neurodivergent Preschool Children
Whether you teach in a traditional preschool, integrated classroom, or therapeutic setting, every child benefits from educators who understand why children behave, communicate, learn, and connect in different ways.
Join the the F.U.S.E. (Foundations for Understanding Social Engagement) team for an engaging 2-hour professional development training focused on practical, relationship-based strategies you can begin using immediately in your classroom.
During this training we will explore four essential domains of child development:
Intentional Communication - Learn how the way we speak, respond, and connect with children can increase language, engagement, confidence, and cooperation. Discover communication strategies that encourage participation rather than compliance.
Sensory Regulation - Gain a deeper understanding of how sensory regulation and movement influences behavior, attention, emotions, and learning. Learn how to recognize sensory needs and create environments that help children feel regulated, safe, and ready to learn.
Purposeful Play - Play is more than fun, it is how young children develop language, social skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and emotional regulation. Learn how to intentionally facilitate play that supports meaningful developmental growth.
Executive Functioning - Explore simple, age-appropriate ways to build foundational executive functioning skills using visuals, schedules, and more, including attention, flexibility, planning, working memory, impulse control, and independent problem-solving throughout the preschool day.
This interactive training includes:
✔ Practical classroom strategies you can implement immediately
✔ Hands-on tools, activities, and teaching ideas
