The Colorado Shines PDIS team would like like to thank you for your patience as we work to process early childhood professional credential submissions! As you may have noticed, the estimated turnaround time is at twelve weeks. We realize this is not ideal and appreciate the time and effort you put into earning your early childhood credential.
To help decrease the turnaround time, all members of the Early Childhood Workforce Development team are devoting time to credential review. In addition, the Colorado Shines PDIS help desk will remain closed on Wednesdays to provide extra time for credential review.
As always, credential submissions that coincide with a QRIS rating are prioritized. When calling the PDIS helpdesk, please take into consideration when you submitted your credential information.
Please visit the PDIS Helpdesk webpage for help with frequently asked questions. You may also email the helpdesk at  pdishelp@cde.state.co.us  or call us at 1.844.447.4441, option 2.

Coaching Credential Renewal Application Checklist
Is it time to renew your Early Childhood Coaching Credential?  Level 1 coaching credentials must be renewed every three years. Level 2 and 3 applications must be renewed every five years.  The Coaching Credential Application Checklist  guides individuals through the renewal process and helps to monitor the completion of required tasks and documentation for your application. It is important to remember that a renewal does not require an application for a higher credential level.
Your coaching credential will remain in good standing as long as the complete renewal application is submitted for processing by the credential expiration date. The credential processing timeline is unchanged.  Applications received by the 15th of the month will be processed by the 15th of the following month.

The Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center offers training and consulting with local business experts for existing businesses as well as those looking to start businesses. This is a great resource for early childhood owners and directors to connect with consultants, workshops, and resources related to running a successful small business.
This class supports your Colorado Shines point structure under Business Administration Indicator. Learning about bookkeeping will support FCCH indicator 3.4 and child care center indicator 3.12: the program has a current-year operating budget and quarterly income and expense statements that show revenues, expenses, and budget compared to actual. Documentation must show comparison between projected annual and YTD figures for revenue and expenses.
