Annual Performance Evaluations

How to Prepare: Staff 

All full-time, tax-levy staff in the following series should have an annual evaluation conference with their supervisor: Classified Staff, Classified Managerial, and HEOs. Research Foundation (RF) employees and faculty have a different process.

How to Prepare: Mangers 

We recommend the following LinkedIn Learning courses for managers conducting performance evaluations.

    • How to prepare for and conduct fair, productive and meaningful performance reviews
  • Coach Your Team to Learn, Stretch and Grow (45 minutes, 2023)
    • Learn practical leadership strategies to coach your team
  • Inclusive Feedback Skills for Managers (56 minutes, 2024) 
    • How to add inclusive principles to delivering feedback
 

Performance Evaluation Timeline

March 2025: In-person evaluations conducted; managers write evaluation, and send to employee within 10 business days.

 

April 1, 2025*: Completed evaluations (signed by staff), are submitted to Human Resources by managers. 

 

*Per the collective bargaining agreement (Article13.13), the notice of non-reappointment shall be given to staffs on or before April 1.
