Professional Golf is back and better than ever!
The LPGA Futures Tour and the Eagle Companies announced today that they have partnered together once again. This year, and for the next two years, Eagle is proud to be the Title Sponsor of the Eagle Classic. Not only does this secure world-class professional women's golf in Richmond for the next three years, but it serves as an opportunity to put a national, and even international, spotlight on our hometown. And we couldn't be more proud!
Last year, Eagle Construction was the tournament's presenting sponsor. It was a chance for us to get more exposure in the area, but also to boost the local economy. 2011 marks the 4th year that the LPGA Futures Tour has played in Richmond and each year we've seen an economic impact of over $450,000. During the tournament week, over 300,000 people worldwide will be reading about Richmond on the tour's website and watching the tournament streaming video online. This sporting event will create exposure for our beloved city that is unmatched and we can all benefit from.
Because Richmond has been our home for over a quarter century, we recognize our responsibility to give back to the communities we serve. Along with the Richmond Country Club and the LPGA Futures Tour, we will be using this tournament as a platform to generate funds for the Massey Cancer Center, with whom we are equally excited to partner.
This tournament is a big deal for the Eagle Construction and its affiliated companies, as well as Richmond. We are very excited to get Richmond's Realtor community involved and will be keeping you as up to date as possible.
