ExecutiveDirectorMessage from Executive Director Christie Brown

Our nonprofit community is fortunate to have a variety of learning opportunities including seminars sponsored by ReSource, Interact for Health, Leadership Council, AFP and more. Taking the time for professional development is sometimes difficult with the demands of daily work, but it is vitally important for you and your staff to learn and grow in your positions!

Our June Building Blocks seminar is a wonderful opportunity to rejuvenate your staff with an inspiring message from Mary Miller. Jamie Smith from the Business Courier provided this review of a previous presentation by Mary:  "She educated, entertained humored, but most importantly touched their hearts. She is a must hear!" Take the time for yourself and encourage others in your organization to join us on June 14 and Ignite Passion with a Spark of Change"!

Thank you for your partnership,

Christie Brown

Interact for Health is offering this special all day workshop on May 23. This class is one of their longstanding favorites. Past participants have called it a "mini-MBA" because it covers a wide range of important business topics.  For more information or to register, visit Interact for Health's registration webpage

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Today, business plans − whether they are for a program or a social enterprise − are becoming a must-have in the nonprofit sector instead of something that's just nice to have. A well-written plan can make the difference in securing the necessary funding and interest.

This session will break down the process into simple and easy-to-follow steps for you to right-size a business plan for your needs  AND  your organization, program or social enterprise. It will include an in-depth discussion of the best process and outline to follow as well as how to stand out from the crowd.

Reminder: Change to Pick-up Schedule

As we grow and provide more products to our members, we need our warehouse staff to have block time for processing donations, stocking and moving inventory, and other warehouse work. Therefore we are changing our policy on product pick-ups.

Effective immediately, pickups should be done between 12:30-3:30 only, Monday-Friday. Please remember to bring enough help to load your own vehicle, as we need our staff for warehouse work. If you will need assistance loading, you should contact us in advance for scheduling and loading fees. Shoppers who are taking their products with them will continue to have immediate access to our dock or front entrance for loading.
