Message from President
 Bonnie Chapman

Greetings Soroptimists!

What do you call an alligator wearing a vest?

An investigator!

I felt so pleased with the wonderful turn out for our first meeting of the year. Thanks for attending and helping to jump start this season of Soroptimist with eager enthusiasm! Let's keep it up!!

This week, those of us who went to Japan are looking forward to sharing our experience with all of you with a special presentation. We have a few surprises in store so don't miss club this Wednesday!

We had several more people join our SI Chico team for the Walk to End Alzheimer's this week. Hooray! Our team is getting larger and our impact will be greater with every person who is part of the effort. See the link in the e-blast to get yourself signed up and be part of this journey.

Tickets for our Dueling Pianos event will be available to club members this week AND be sure to catch myself and Dawn Fedeli on the noon news broadcast today (9/11) as we begin promotion of the fundraiser!

It's another great week to be a Soroptimist.

With Gratitude,
Soroptimist International of Chico
President, 2018-2019
This Week's Program

Join us this week to hear all about the Japan experience with Bonnie, Carrie, Natalie, Gayle, and Joan.  They have a special presentation and a few surprises in store.
Hands on Service Projects - Process Updated!

All proposed Hands on Service Projects will need to be sponsored by a club member and brought forth to the Business Meeting for membership approval.  So that members  have sufficient information to make a decision, sponsoring club members will complete a Nomination Form (attached).  This form will be included with the motion form and shared on Eblast prior to the Business Meeting.

Hands on Service Projects that the club has participated in the past will NOT automatically roll over and will also need to be approved by the membership.

We know that many of you are involved with other nonprofits that do good work throughout the community.  If you feel that our  club members can help your nonprofit in some "hands on", please let us know. We welcome fresh ideas! First nominations are due by  September 24  for consideration.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of the Giving Committee Co-Chairs.
