Message from President
Carrie Pavis

Greetings Soroptimists!

We started this year off as busy as ever. It was great to see so many of you at the first meeting!  Thank you to Bonnie and Dawn who got us moving in the water at our first SUDS. Thank you to the Events Committee who worked so hard to put on retreat! We had a fantastic turnout, thank you to all who attended.

My heart is full, and I am overwhelmed with the love and support from all of you.

As I have mentioned, I had never taken a position like President before, and I doubted myself every step of the way. I kept telling myself if I can get through Installation, then I will be ok. Then it was my first board meeting, my first business meeting and, retreat. All of you have been so supportive, you have texted, e-mailed, or have just come up and let me know that I am doing a great job, this means the world to me. I can't thank you enough and now I feel more confident, am looking forward to this year and, I am ready to get to work.

This week we will have our first guest speaker Lynn Tosello, PhD. from "Your Consciousness Key."

Remember, Epicurean Rendezvous tickets are on sale at a discounted price only until September 15th.  The Fundraising Committee has sent out a sign-up Genius for those of you who need jobs before the event to fulfill your obligation to the Fundraising Committee.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday.

Important Information!

Hello SI Chico Members!

Tickets

Tickets are now on sale everyone!! We need your help in getting our room filled. Discounted tickets will only be available until September 15...please share this event on social media and with friends. There is a clickable version of the flier in this E-blast that you can share in an email! (see below)

Pre-event work shifts now available

You all received 2 sign-up genius emails this past weekend that have a number of pre-event work opportunities.(see signups under volunteers needed in this E-blast) If you are attending and just want to relax and enjoy, or if you can't be there that day and would like to fulfill your contribution of time toward our fundraising efforts beforehand, this is your chance. Please note that the Farmer's Market shifts will count as service toward fundraising. Also note that if none of this works for you, you can always help us by working at the Home and Garden Show in the spring.

We need Live Auction Items!

We are in search of a few spectacular live auction items. We are hoping for things like event/sports tickets, a timeshare stay or an experience. Please help us find a few of these to round out our auction.

Tickets will also be available for member purchase at our meeting if you or someone you know would rather purchase directly. Please let us know if you have any questions!
