Our speaker today was Kelly Palmer. BBBS of America was founded in 1904, and has been here locally for 50 years representing 12 counties. The lives of 1,815 children were impacted
in 2018-2019. The concept of BBBS is mentor-based, targeting youth without guidance and resources to connect to a pathway that leads to a productive, rewarding, and financially self-sufficient adulthood. 95% of the students that participated in the program either graduated from high school or were promoted to the next grade. 92% of seniors completing the Beyond School Wall program are continuing their education, joined the military or entered the workforce.
