- March of Dimes is a program that aligns with our Kiwanis mission. It's a program supported by Kiwanis International and in many cities such as Fort Myers. Rachel's family is the Lee County March of Dimes Ambassador Family for 2020.
Rachel shared in a recent email; "For those of you who don't know, both my kids were preemies. Adam was 29 weeks weighing in at 2 pounds, 9 ounces. Sadie was 33 weeks weighing in at 4 pounds, 4 ounces. We received no answers for why our babies were born early. This year our fighters are helping the March of Dimes raise funds for research, so more families don't have to go through what we went through. We had good outcomes, but many do not."
Here is how we can support March of Dimes this year:
- Walk with us on Saturday, April 25th at the March of Dimes March for Babies in Centennial Park in Fort Myers. Join our team at: http://www.marchforbabies.org/team/TeamToomey
