We are announcing the planned sunset of the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program on October 31, 2025. No new MCC reservations will be accepted after this date.

Key Dates & Requirements

• Sunset Date (Last day to issue commitments): October 31, 2025
• Final Deadline to Process and Issue Certificates for Existing Commitments: December 31, 2025
• All commitments issued on or before October 31, 2025, must be fully processed and certificates issued by this date.
• Files not fully completed by December 31, 2025, will be ineligible for MCC issuance.

Pipeline Guidance for Lenders

• Verify that all reserved/committed loans have a realistic path to closing and certificate issuance by December 31, 2025.
• Prioritize outstanding conditions, compliance reviews, and any required documentation to ensure timely issuance.
• Communicate proactively with borrowers regarding this timeline.

Program Impact & Future Outlook

The MCC Program has made significant contributions to affordability for homebuyers across our state. As bond cap becomes available in the future, we hope to relaunch the program. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
