CRPD: Award-Winning Parks & Programs

CRPD was once again recognized for its contribution to the community. The California Park and Recreation Society awarded CRPD for the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center fitness course AND the National Recreation and Park Association selected CRPD as one of 40 agencies to receive a training grant for a new fitness program: Walk with Ease. Go Team!

Walk with Ease begins April 1 at Lincoln Village Community Park!
Cordova Cares FunFair

Join the Cordova Community for train rides, animal meet & greets at the Hagan Community Barn barn, bounce houses, and first-responder displays, including Rancho Cordova PD’s K9, Sac Metro Fire, and the Sac County Park Rangers!

Wristbands: $10*
Hot Dog Lunch: $5

100% of the proceeds will go towards the purchase of a Community Support Vehicle.

Community Yard Sale

Looking to clean out your closet for some extra cash but don’t want the hassle of hosting a yard sale? Take advantage of Cordova’s Annual Community Yard Sale. Shopping is FREE or you can reserve a 15’ x 15′ outdoor space for $20. Download and fill out our  vendor application  to get started.

Or donate your items for the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center to sell. Tax-deductible donations can be dropped off at the front desk beginning  April 30.
Tennis w/ Kenny Pack
Join our tennis pro for one of his wonderful, instructional tennis classes. Kenny offers classes for kids ages 5 - 8 and adults 18+. Classes fill up fast, so early registration is encouraged. All classes are held at the beautiful Heron Landing Community Park.

PMRID Oversight Committee 2019 Officers
The citizen advisory Oversight Committee for the Park Maintenance and Recreation Improvement District (PMRID) met on March 6 and elected their officers for this year.

Bonnie Domeny (Zone B – Larchmont/Riviera East) was re-elected Chair
Ryan Brown (Zone B – Rosemont) was elected Vice-Chair

Open Application Period – PMRID Oversight Committee
Two terms on the Oversight Committee are expiring this year, and community members are invited to submit applications for the seats.
Residents of Gold River and Rancho Cordova are eligible to apply, and applications should be submitted by April 30, 2019 . Terms are for 4 years.
