Seeking HR Professionals - Research Study Request
A research team from the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Calgary is partnering with colleagues from the Department of Education at Concordia University to take part in a 30-minute interview on how practicing human resource (HR) management professionals evaluate job applicants’ language skills and the degree to which job applicants’ or employees’ language skills in English or French factor in job hiring, retention, and promotion decisions.
Your input is needed! As a small token of appreciation, you will receive a $25 gift certificate (e.g., Amazon.ca, Chapters/Indigo) upon completion, sent electronically as a thank you for your time.
To be eligible for participation, you must be a practicing HR professional in Alberta and work primarily in English and/or French. Your desire to participate in this study and your potential participation will be kept strictly confidential.
If you are interested in participating, please email Mary O’Brien at [email protected] with the subject heading HR Study. Further information will be provided to those who express interest, including a detailed consent form outlining the conditions of your participation in this study.
