PROJECT OUT
WINDOW HARDWARE
Bronze Craft's window hardware has been keeping millions of windows securely closed for over 78 years.
A project out or awning window is a top hinged outward opening vent that protects the opening like an awning, providing ventilation even during rainy weather.
Choosing the correct project out hardware is dependent upon a few important dimensions. The critical dimension is the window profile offset. This dimension is dictated by the specific window profile and can be used to determine the appropriate hardware. The proper fit of the handle(s) used on the vent will provide security and a proper weather seal.
Bronze Craft also provides gaskets to ensure better weather seals and to prevent galvanic reactions.
The Bronze Craft 166 Series Handles feature the 162 001 grip style combined with an angle base design. This allows the mounting screws to be in shear for added strength. The straight lines of these handles combined with the hidden mounting holes keep smooth sight lines on the window. They are available in standard and pole operated versions.
Spring Catches are used on the lower rail of a project out sash. Pole operation allows it to be used in situations a normal cam handle would be difficult to operate.
In areas where hurricanes may strike heavy duty impact handles are engineered to withstand both positive and negative loads. For high structural load capabilities, the handles are available in our aluminum bronze alloy. Angle base & custodial versions are also available. Specifically engineered to work with the 208 043 keeper.
In addition to the above hardware, Bronze Craft also supplies solutions for hinges for project out vents offering Four Bar Hinges and Butt Hinges.
Window Profiles and CAD files, if available, are very helpful.
